Our soaps are developed with wet shavers in mind to give you a cushiony shave that your razor will glide over. Whether you use a straight razor, double-edged, our soaps provide excellent protection.
A bit of info on shaving soaps
For over ten years, I have sampled and tried various artisan and commercial shaving products to improve my daily shave. I have come to realize the best shave comes from using soap and a brush.
Shaving soap is different from traditional bar soap as it will produce a thick, cushiony lather when agitated with water and a shaving brush. With this method, the lather works to your preference for a wetter, slicker shave, or a dense and more cushioned shave. This control becomes important for people that want to use double-edged safety razors or an old fashion straight razor, as you need to find what works best for your technique.
All our soaps are made in small batches to control the quality from start to finish. We use oils that are tried and true, and leave out all the chemicals and additives you find in the grocery store shaving creams. Our soaps will last you many months of regular use, and we regularly work to create new scents to add some enjoyment to your shave.
