The Merkur 15C razor is a three-piece safety razor that is complete with an open comb head. These open comb heads allow for extra speed as you're shaving by preventing clogging between the bar and head. The 15C is a more aggressive than a closed comb bar, so make sure you find a good blade to pair it with that works for your skin. I personally put open combs between a slant and a closed comb for aggressiveness. If you have a coarse beard, you will appreciate an open comb safety razor.
